Central Pa. man found guilty of assaulting officers during Jan. 6 attack

A Cumberland County man was found guilty last week of assaulting law enforcement and multiple other charges related to his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Joseph Pastucci, 50, of New Cumberland, was convicted of three felony offenses, including obstruction of an official proceeding, civil disorder, and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers, along with eight misdemeanor charges.

New photos show suspect accused of critically injuring 79-year-old woman in Philadelphia

 Philadelphia police have released images for one of the two shooting suspects believed to be involved in critically injuring a 79-year-old woman on Friday.

The woman, who was an innocent bystander, was shot in the head during a shootout on the 3400 block of North 3rd Street in the city’s Hunting Park section.

Arrest made in airport parking garage shooting that killed Philadelphia officer

One man has been arrested and at least two other people are being sought in an airport parking garage shooting that killed a Philadelphia police officer and injured another last week, authorities said.

Yobranny Martinez Fernandez, 18, of Camden County, New Jersey, was arrested before dawn Monday in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and was being held in that state on a fugitive warrant.

Former central Pennsylvania city manager charged with stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars in public money

John “Herm” Suplizio, the former DuBois City Manager, who is already facing charges for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the city for personal expense had additional charges filed against him this week.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry announced the additional charges on Wednesday, bringing the total to 13 felonies and 10 misdemeanors.

Central Pa. doctor charged with indecent assault of patient: state police

A Lancaster County doctor has been charged with indecent assault after Pennsylvania State Police say he inappropriately touched a patient during an office visit.

According to a statement from state police, troopers charged Vladimir Iakomi, 64, after a report from one of his patients that she had been assaulted on Sept. 30 during a visit to Iakomi’s office in Bart Township.

A Perry County man is at large after failing to appear at his sentencing hearing on child sexual abuse charges, authorities said.

Barry A. Bostwick, 60, of Rye Township, should be considered armed and dangerous, the Perry County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday. The Pennsylvania Sexual Offender Assessment Board also said Bostwick is a sexually violent predator.

Police say the former CEO of a telecommunications company stole over $4 million from the business by funneling money into personal accounts and unrelated businesses he was also involved in.

William “Bill” Hynes, 51, of York, served as the CEO of United Fiber & Data, LLC (UFD) – a company aiming to build and manage a fiber optic line from New York to Virginia – from 2015 through 2019, according to court documents.

Manhunt Continues for ‘Survivalist’ Murder Suspect Who Escaped Jail

A manhunt continued on Sunday for a murder suspect who escaped from a Pennsylvania jail late on Thursday using bedsheets he tied together to climb down from the roof, officials said.

Pennsylvania State Police said that Michael Burham, who escaped from the Warren County Jail, could be hiding in the steep, rugged wilderness near the city of Warren, which is about 20 miles south of Jamestown, N.Y.

Man wanted in triple homicide is captured in Philadelphia; victims include 2 children

A fugitive wanted in the fatal shooting of three people, including two children who’d been playing with kittens in the backyard of their Pennsylvania home, has been captured in Philadelphia, federal officials said Wednesday.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Ivan Claudio Rosero, 27, was located at a park and taken into custody without incident Tuesday night.

Man killed by police in Berks County was wanted for homicides, arson and shootings

Investigators say the man who was shot and killed by officers in Wyomissing, Berks County was also wanted for several shootings and a recent arson case.

Lillian Smith says her 52-year-old brother Steven Smith and his girlfriend, 56-year-old Tabitha Price, were both killed on Monday night at a motel in Gloucester City, New Jersey.

The couple was found dead in a motel room around 6:30 p.m.

Man allegedly recorded people using bathroom at local university

After being confronted for reportedly videotaping a man as he used a bathroom on a university campus, the accused punched the alleged victim in the face and ran away.

While using the bathroom on Feb. 16 inside the Hetzel Union Building on Penn State’s campus just before 6 p.m., the accuser noticed a camera facing him, said officers with Penn State University Police department.

Couple from Hawaii charged in counterfeit art scheme in central Pa.

A couple from Hawaii has been charged with fraud and money laundering in connection with selling counterfeit art internationally and in central Pennsylvania, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

A federal grand jury indicted Earl Marshawn Washington and his wife Zsanett Nagy, of Honolulu, on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bank fraud, mail fraud, and money laundering and wire fraud related to the sale of fraudulent woodcuts.

FBI offering $25,000 reward for information leading to arrest of Central Pennsylvania armed bank robbery suspect

CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA– The FBI’s Philadelphia Division is offering a reward of $25,000 for the public’s help in identifying a suspect responsible for a string of armed bank robberies around the Harrisburg area.

The male suspect’s four robberies spanned a three-month period from October 2016 into January 2017.
