71-year-old woman dead after central Pa. fire

A 71-year-old woman was found dead after a Tuesday morning fire in her home, York County authorities said.

The woman was oxygen-dependent and smoking before a fire that started early Tuesday morning on the first block of Chesapeake Estates in Jackson Township, according to Coroner Pamela Gay.

Resident Killed When Tree Falls On House In Central Pennsylvania: Officials

Scott Quickel has been identified as the man killed in this tragic tree fall, the Cumberland County Coroner Charles Hall told Daily Voice.

The tree fell onto a house at 804 Baltimore Pike/US Route 94 in South Middleton Township, Gardeners, at 3:10 a.m. on March 11, according to Cumberland County Emergency Dispatch.

A 77-year-old woman was killed after her vintage Ford Mustang ran off the road in Manheim Township on Saturday evening, according to police.

Manheim Township Police Department officers were called to a parking lot on Roosevelt Boulevard just before 7 p.m. Saturday, according to a release from the department.

Small plane crashes in Pennsylvania neighborhood; injuries not clear

A small plane crashed Thursday in a central Pennsylvania neighborhood, and it was not immediately clear if there were any injuries, authorities said.

The crash in West Caln occurred around 1:30 p.m., according to police. The pilot was the only person aboard the aircraft when it went down just minutes after taking off from nearby Chester County Airport in Coatesville.

Head-on crash killed 11-year-old girl in central Pa. on Christmas Eve

An 11-year-old girl died Christmas Eve after a driver veered out of their traffic lane and struck the vehicle in which she was traveling in Lancaster County.

The 8:50 a.m. crash Sunday on Old Pennsylvania Pike in Salisbury Township also seriously injured two others in the girl’s car. The coroner confirmed the girl’s death Tuesday but did not release her name because she was a minor.

Central Pa. grandpa killed in crash while driving to pick up his beloved dog

On the morning of Dec. 11, Anthony Loewy, on the cusp of retirement, left his Palmyra home to pick up his beloved dog from a pet hotel after spending the weekend out of town.

East Lampeter Township police said Luis Petrilli-Rivera, 34, of Lancaster, hit Tar Pee Tu, 74, of Lancaster, around 11:13 p.m. Saturday on the first block of Pitney Road. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on the 5000 block of Lincoln Way East in Greene Township, just east of Chambersburg, according to a report from state police. A westbound vehicle “traveled through the center turn lane” and struck another vehicle head-on, state police wrote in their report.

A 49-year-old man died on Monday after he came in contact with a high-voltage electrical line while working on a job site in North Hopewell Township.

The York County Coroner’s Office says Marty Mundis, of York Township, was working at a site on the 12000 block of Mount Olivet Road when he hit the electrical line while in a mechanical lift.
