The public is invited to join Centred Outdoors and community partners on Sunday, July 10 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and Wednesday July 13 at 6 p.m. for a free and guided group “Art Walk” through downtown State College. Participants will walk and observe the sculptures, murals and functional art throughout town while learning about the artists who created them. Additionally, on Sunday Jana Marie Foundation will host a collaborative art project, where participants can add to the artwork downtown by adding a fingerprint critter or flower to a garden-themed mural.

Those joining the walks may also be interested in planning a “staycation” day in and around State College that can be enjoyed without a lot of driving or spending. Two well-known walking and hiking destinations that are free to visit and open to the public include Millbrook Marsh Nature Center and Mount Nittany.
