York County-based WellSpan said an expanded collaboration with Johns Hopkins will result in better treatment for cancer patients in south-central Pennsylvania.
Nationally-renowned Johns Hopkins is based in Baltimore.
WellSpan said the two organizations will share cancer treatment methods and collaborate on research. The collaboration will give WellSpan patients better access to clinical trials, genetics-based methods of understanding and treating cancer, and Johns Hopkins specialists, according to WellSpan.
