The Central PA 4th Fest is back and better than ever! The tremendous show that has been voted as one of the best fireworks displays in the country is gearing up for another action packed day of fun for the community.

They start the day off with their Firecracker 4K race at University Park, then they have a new addition to the line-up this year, their Firecracker car show! If you are a car enthusiast, this is where you should be! You can enter a car in a variety of categories or just come out to spectate!

Amateur pyrotechnicians are being told to follow Pennsylvania’s law on where they can set off fireworks or else face penalties and fines.

Based on the passage of Act 43 in 2017, firecrackers, roman candles, bottle rockets, and similar aerial fireworks, which contain a maximum of 50 milligrams of explosive material, are now legal in the commonwealth. But, setting them off in confined spaces, or drinking while lighting them, is not.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) – Tuesday evening, officials from the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau put out a release describing their plans for this year’s 4th of July firework show.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the volunteer-led organization for Central Pennsylvania 4th Fest is committed to upholding its 20-year history with fireworks for families in Central PA to enjoy.

However, this year the display will be split up throughout four locations with synchronized shows.

“As we follow health guidelines; we want the community to celebrate our Independence Day in a safe and spectacular way,” stated Frank Savino, Executive Director, Central PA 4th Fest
