The wildfire smoke that’s choking the West Coast has made its way 3,000 miles east to central Pennsylvania, leaving a smoky haze in its wake, meteorologists said.
The National Weather Service said westerly winds are carrying the smoke all the way to the East Coast and giving the sun a “milky white” appearance at sunrise.
Meteorologist David Martin said the smoke is not affecting Pennsylvania’s air quality. However, it’s cutting down on how much heat reaches us, which might make it feel cooler over the next few days at peak temperatures.
