‘Patchy drizzle’ in central Pa.’s forecast for cool start to September

Fall-like temperatures and scattered rain will arrive in central Pennsylvania Tuesday to usher in the start of the new month, forecasts predict.

According to the National Weather Service, highs on Tuesday will only reach the high 70s. Some parts of the region could see “patchy drizzle” before 2 p.m., forecasters said.

If news of more rain is unwelcome, remember parts of Pennsylvania were hit with three days’ worth of showers and thunderstorms last week as Hurricane Laura hit Texas and Louisiana and moved north.

However, showers are likely to continue Wednesday with the possibility of thunderstorms in the late afternoon. A chance of showers and storms continues overnight, then more are possible Thursday.
