This summer’s mild start is about to end as a heatwave bears down today in central Pennsylvania.
Several muggy days with temperatures in the 90s, along with a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms, are on the way, peaking Monday through Wednesday with a heat index of about 100.
According to the National Weather Service at State College, Sunday will be partly sunny with a high of 90.
