Diwali, a major religious festival for Hindus as well as Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists, was celebrated at ISKON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) Harrisburg Sunday evening.
Diwali is a five-day festival widely known as the Hindu New Year and comes from the Sanskrit word “deepavali,” which means “a row of lights.” It is considered the most important festival of the year in India.
