Plans are in the works to create the “Northeast Shooting Complex” in Elysburg.
“This is a change from a facility that only shoots registered trap 22 days a year to a facility open all year long for trap, sporting clays, and skeet,” said Skip Klinger, Pennsylvania Shotgun Shooting Association executive director. “It’s going to be the largest shotgun shooting complex in the northeast.”
Right now, the shooting complex in Elysburg is open for a series of trap shooting events from May through September. The state shoot is either the first or second largest on most years, depending on weather, Klinger said — neck and neck with Ohio.
