The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Thursday that more than $49.5 million has been invested in 55 projects to improve community resources and public accessibility in the state.
Funds are made available through the Surface Transportation Block Grant program Set-Aside, also known as the Transportation Alternative Set-Aside (TA Set-Aside). The administration has been awarding projects that improve the accessibility of biking and walking paths, community improvement activities, mitigation and trails.
