Statistically, one in seven children are at risk for hunger because they live in a rural area and are part of a low-income family.
The Central PA Food Bank works every day to make sure these families are getting the nutrients needed to fuel their bodies, but they can’t do it alone. Monday, the first-ever Huntingdon County Food Summit brought several local organizations together to discuss the barriers between food and those who are struggling to buy food for their families.
