A new history-themed amusement park could come to central Pa.

A theme park devoted to history, where guests travel in time as they explore.

Could such a place exist in central Pennsylvania?

A panel at Lock Haven University convened to explore that option on Dec. 5, reports the Lock Haven Express. Among the panelists were representatives from Puy du Fou, a historical theme park in France that has more than 2 million visitors per year. Puy du Fou offers guests chances to explore medieval villages, see shows in the colosseum and spend the night in an 18th century lodge.

The Puy du Fou representatives spoke on whether or not it would even make sense to develop a similar theme park in Pennsylvania — but one that would play off of the Keystone State’s own history.
