Veolia proposing water rate hikes for central Pa. customers

Veolia Water Pennsylvania, which services central Pa. customers, is proposing a 22% water rate hike, according to a letter sent to customers.

If approved by the Public Utility Commission, residential customers who use an average of 3,500 gallons per month would see monthly increases from $49.64 to $60.79. Commercial customers using 25,000 gallons per month could face hikes from $353.93 to $433.34 per month, while industrial users face a 28% hike.
