The National Weather Service in State College, PA has issued a FREEZE WARNING in parts of central Pennsylvania for Wednesday, November 1 night – Thursday, November 2 morning.
A freeze warning is issued when widespread freezing temperatures are expected and may severely harm or kill any sensitive and unprotected vegetation. An alert is only issued when the growing season is still considered active or has just concluded in an area. This is why many of our northern counties are not under a freeze warning even though temperatures will be cold enough.
