Fall foliage season is in full swing in South Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland, and this week is expected to be the peak for color. The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) says that the leaves are changing color at different elevations, so there’s something to see for everyone.
“Pennsylvania has a longer and more varied fall foliage season than any other state in the nation, or anywhere in the world. This is because Pennsylvania has a diverse range of tree species, and the state’s climate is ideal for fall foliage production”, according to the DCNR.
