Central Pa. airports, including HIA, to get millions in federal funding

Pa. Sens. Bob Casey and John Fetterman announced $15.45 million in infrastructure funding for Harrisburg International Airport (HIA) and the Lancaster Airport as part of the Airport Improvement Program.

HIA, in Lower Swatara Township near Middletown, will receive $9,776,896 from the U.S. Department of Transportation, according to a press release sent out Wednesday. Lancaster Airport, located several miles north of the city’s Downtown Business District, can expect $5,679,209 in funding.
