Few round barns are left in Pa.: You can shop and sightsee at this one

A short drive from the city of Harrisburg stands one of a handful of remaining round barns left in the state of Pennsylvania.

The Historic Round Barn & Farm Market at 298 Cashtown Road in Biglerville is just a few miles west of Gettysburg and the only round barn in the commonwealth that is open to the public.

The barn originally was built in 1914 by the Noah Sheely family, and it started out as a traditional rectangular barn that took more than seven total months to finish. But later that year, the barn burned down and the family decided they wanted to rebuild something special.
