Amateur pyrotechnicians are being told to follow Pennsylvania’s law on where they can set off fireworks or else face penalties and fines.
Based on the passage of Act 43 in 2017, firecrackers, roman candles, bottle rockets, and similar aerial fireworks, which contain a maximum of 50 milligrams of explosive material, are now legal in the commonwealth. But, setting them off in confined spaces, or drinking while lighting them, is not.
