While snow finally tapers off in central Pa., another foot could fall later this week

The worst rounds of central Pennsylvania’s marathon snowstorms have passed, but more snow lies ahead, forecasters said.

About half an inch of snow could accumulate between 6 and 7 a.m. Tuesday, bringing Sunday and Monday’s storms to an end, according to AccuWeather.

According to the National Weather Service’s latest totals, the Middletown area in Dauphin County had 13.4 inches, while Shiremanstown in Cumberland County got 14.1. Franklin County received 17 inches; Lebanon and Lancaster each had 16 inches; York County had 12 inches, and Perry County had 11 inches. Updated snowfall totals can be found on the NWS’s website.

AccuWeather says an additional 10 to 15 inches of snow is possible between overnight Saturday and next Tuesday afternoon. It is too soon to say for sure when or how much snow could arrive.
