DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — A new activity for beer fans is coming to Central Pennsylvania, this week.
Visit Hershey & Harrisburg put in motion a free downloadable app that will help promote breweries that have have been affected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Brew Barons Beer Trail app is showing off at least 20 local breweries, and counting.
Visitors will show up at these locations and check in, passport style, on the app.
Participants can win free prizes just for showing up and checking in at these locations.
“When you’re going to these breweries, we do not require any sort of purchase,” Jason Meckes, experience development director for Visit Hershey & Harrisburg, said. “Just going there is enough for you to check in.”
