A central Pennsylvania technology firm has agreed to pay $70,000 to settle a dispute over its use of a federal research grant, U.S. Attorney David Freed said Monday.
The deal with Nascent Devices Inc. of State College, which does not admit to any impropriety, involves charged tied to a Small Business Technology Transfer award it received from the National Science Foundation.
Freed said the company was accused of using the money to pay unauthorized expenses and of filing false certifications on its final report in 2015.
