Coronavirus cases by day in Pa. (4/30/20): How fast is COVID-19 spreading?

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed Thursday there were 1,397 new coronavirus cases. That brings the statewide total of positive test results to 45,763.

As of Thursday afternoon, Pennsylvania had the sixth-most confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States; New York had the most with 310,839 and Montana is listed as having the least reported cases (in the continental U.S.) with 453, according to Worldometer.

Locally in central Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported as of Thursday afternoon, 343 people have tested positive in Cumberland County; 584 in Dauphin County; 30 in Perry County (no change from Wednesday); 641 in York County; 1,765 in Lancaster County, and 676 in Lebanon County.
